Sunday Quilt Inspiration

First up, a pretty little quilt that's part of a Moda BakeShop Quilt-along.  These pics are from the Moda website.   The site includes "recipes" for making the quilts and accessories.  Lots of large photos an clear instructions.  Definitely a great site to find inspiration and information.

QuiltCon is getting close at only a week away, and because it's on my mind (a lot!), I'm in a modern quilt mode.  That said, here are some modern quilts from around the globe.

If you haven't visited Rita at Red Pepper Quilts, Australia, you're missing out on some bright, fun modern quilts.  I love to look through her Flickr photos.  I've also found many of her quilts on Pinterest.

Here's a sampling from Amy of Crafty Shenanigans, London, whose beautiful quilt is waiting on binding.  I love the different little blocks.  Her colorway is just busy enough to keep the eye moving but not so busy that one wonders whether its a scrap quilt.  The white sashing really keeps it clean, doesn't it?

Kari of Fresh Cut Quilts Pattern Co. is remaking many of her patterns with modern fabrics and offering them on Etsy.  I love her idea of taking an older pattern that you already like and making it new.  This is one of my favorite patterns of the many that she has.  Please go by and say hello; pick up a pattern if you need one.

I can't possibly consider inspirational modern quilts without showing you my latest inspirational quilt...this one from Carla at Grace and Favour of British Colombia.  She calls it Converging Corners and I am unabashedly enthralled.  I have got to play with it this summer, if I can wait till then!

Edit: The quilt is from Carla but it's not her pattern.  It is from Film in the Fridge, another blog filled with beautiful modern quilts.  I recommend that you visit and click on "Quilts."   Ashley has at least 150 photos of quilts, plus tutorials and photos of clothing and household items that are all easy, interesting reads.

And finally a couple of new moderns that I've recently found on Pinterest.  My "modern, quilts" board is now up to 150+ pins, so feel free to go by and take a look at many beautiful modern quilts.
