Middle Aged Children? How?

Our oldest son turns 35 tomorrow.  It's impossible.  He was born only a few short years ago.  On a Friday night at 6:05 p.m.  9 lbs. 11 ozs.  Big and tall and heavy.  A healthy baby.

I remember asking the doctor when he told me not to lift 10 pounds how could I care for the baby.  It turned out okay, of course.  There were so many other things to worry about.  I was too young to realize just how many things there were.

Here are two of the boys: Will (in the hat) is the birthday boy and Adam, the middle child.  This sassy child below is Jolie.  She was the baby grand until the second set of grands came along.  She is quick to tell us she's still her mama and daddy's baby.

I guess my boys are getting older.  Take a look at the baldness going on in this family. In the meantime, the daddy of this crew of baldies still has a full head of black hair.

Will's Family: Alayna, Jolie, Dusti, Stacey (mom), Will, and Lane
Adam's Family: Adam, Marley, and Jenny
Rory's Family: Caki, Rory, Meggan, and Sophie

  1. Yes, time definitely flies when it comes to you children. Mine are of a similar age so I understand how you feel. I hope everyone had a wonderful day.

  2. I enjoyed this post and know the feeling - my oldest is 25, but I don't understand how that can be when I'm only 35 (in my head).
