TED Ideas worth spreading*
And boy, have I been spreading those ideas. Well, actually I've been spreading the website. I've been trying to "hook" students on the idea that if you're going to kill time on the internet, you should kill that time with an inspiring video. Or maybe one on which you learn something...like the one above by Jack Horner, "Where are the baby dinosaurs?"
Or how about you learn something and laugh...like this one "What's so funny about the web?" by Ze Frank? I haven't seen one that is not interesting, but alas, I've not been very successful. In fact, I think I bombed. Completely. Would you please check it out and let me know how you like it? I'd feel much better if I connected to one human.
All of this means that I have lots of stuff to check out on Pinterest! In fact, I have started a "TED Talks" board. Sure, it's crazy, but I'm crazy. I watch a TEDtalk on something (anything) almost daily and then I do some of my own research/info gathering/pinning. Can't just trust the people who say they are experts, you know. However, I have read everything I can find on TED (which stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design), and I'm still hooked. Here are some of my recent pins. Thanks to the many people who have curated the talks in these pins.
That's my spiel on TED Talks and on design and creativity.
Well I must be behind the times: I haven't come across TED but will check it out.
ReplyDeleteI love Ted Talks, but there are way too many to ever watch all of the ones that intrigue me!
ReplyDeleteHey just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the images aren't loading properly.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different internet browsers and both
show the same outcome.
