Pin It Weekly #157

We have made it home! Yay! It's time to resume Pin It Weekly. I missed my pinning. If you're tired of seeing photos from the Great Lakes, you're in the wrong blog. Before we left, I had to do some research of the area and I haven't had much time for pinning since we got home last night. So here are a few things that I was pinning before the off-grid experience began. They are all on my "Great Lakes, region" Pinterest board.

From Minnesota to Ohio, towns along the Midwest's Great Lakes capture the summer vacation spirit. Here are some of our favorite Great Lakes getaways, with tips on exploring each one.

Sleeping Bear Dunes, MI :) - "Discovered" this beautiful site during our Great Lakes Vacation 2011. Unbelievable to find such fantastic landscapes in the heart of the Midwest along Lake Michigan's Eastern Shoreline, west of Traverse City.:

I've noticed more and more of what I call "porch signs." Ideas, inspiration, "rules," written on signs to hang in comfortable locations. The porch is probably the most comfortable locale, hence the name. Since they seem to be "the thing" now, I thought I'd share a few of my favorites.

 This is a more playfull and experimental way of displaying information. It is not very practical for important information as it's hard to read however can be useful as a design feature.
