I've had reason to think about wedding rings lately. A friend's daughter recently married. Someone else recently became engaged. We wonder why a particular couple has yet to make the big announcement. You know, the stuff of small towns: everyone's business is everyone's business. (I just thought of that little truism.) Especially weddings and engagements and such. 
Wedding rings come to mind at this time of the year and it occurred to me that we should look at how wedding rings have inspired quilts. Ahh, we must remedy this with a few wedding rings...
