The Biggest Finish!

A quilt story in pictures...
The first fabric pull is close.

A second fabric pull fills the bill.

Now a fabric pull for the backing, all from mom's stash.

Wide strips cut, sewn and loaded on the long-arm.

Really, this is right on the edge!

So much binding! Well over 400 inches,
which makes
11½ yards!

Sewing on the binding, then
flip it and sew some more.

And a finish!
More about this quilt later in the week, but here are the quilt stats in the meantime. And I'd love to know what you think, so please leave a comment.

  1. A great finish, Mary! It's very calming and peaceful - a quilt you will never get tired off.

  2. Lovely finish. Such a big quilt but very subtle in appearance.
