Cotton Quilters' August Meeting

Monday was one of those wild ride days of two guild meetings. I wrote (here) about sitting on that I-10 bridge waiting to get to the Dalrumple exit, while the bridge bounces and some guy zooms past everyone just to jump ahead of the line. I was a little annoyed.

Guild challenge blocks - ten so far!
Anyway, the Cotton Quilters' meeting went really well. We're gearing up for our show which is next month. Most of the meeting covered the plans in the works for that but, as you can see, we had a great show and tell. Our members are talented, so they showed a few other items that they've been working on.

A couple of aprons from
Mrs. LouElla and Mrs. Virginia

Mrs. Pricilla's crazy quilt
pillow cover made from
re-purposed curtains
An old baby doll cleaned
up and in a new outfit

Cleo's quilt
And then, there were the quilts...
Maggie's quilt

Pam's BOM and flamingo quilts
New members Becky and Day, a husband and wife team, showed a couple of their quilts. I hope that several will be in the show. Each member can put up to three quilts in.

And that, friends, was just one of Monday's meetings. Two hours later I was sitting on that bouncy I-10 bridge. But that's a post for Monday. See you tomorrow for Sunday Quilt Inspiration.
