Yes, greenery. Why not? It's an important part of Christmas decor and can be used all winter since it's, well, greenery. Let's start with a few types of greenery so you can see how they look. If you're like me, you get what you have, but if you're going out to buy greenery to make arrangements or wreaths, you may be able to choose from different kinds. It may be useful to have an idea of what you're looking for before you start shopping.
Of course the list is not exhaustive of all types of greens to use in decorations. Though they aren't evergreens, I'd add magnolia and eucalyptus to the list for a couple of reasons: magnolia leaves are large and heavy, so they fill in lots of space; eucalyptus smells wonderful and can be purchased in different colors.
The dark leaves in this arrangement are on magnolia branches.
I love the full tree in the center of this arrangement: it really adds height and fullness.
Now for the inspired part~~the quilts! These actually aren't all quilts, necessarily. They are more penny rugs and blocks but each one has some form of greenery.
