Sunday Quilt Inspiration: egg shapes

Sometimes I look at an item and see a quilt. And sometimes I look at a quilt and see an object that probably is not meant by the maker. The first is a possible idea for a future quilt. The second is probably odd. Regardless, this inspiration comes from a quilt and manifested itself into an SQI. Or something like that.

So are you curious what kind of quilts might be deviled eggs incognito? Quite often they're modern, artsy, and colorful.

These quilts and over 600 others (though not devil egg incognito) are in the modern section of my "heart, quilts" board. Do you see devil eggs in these quilts? 

Sunday Quilt Inspiration: Quilty 365

Be inspired by my "Quilty 365" board! There are over 100 pins of circle blocks, tops, and quilts, all part of the Quilty 365 challenge. I jumped in well after it started, but was still able to make enough blocks for a large quilt. Can you believe that these were made in 2016-17? Has it really been that long?

Sunday Quilt Inspiration: Circles

When I first wrote this SQI in May of 2015, I provided this link so that anyone interested in finding Modern Quilt Guild could find the 30 groups that had boards on Pinterest. Tonight the same search, "modern quilt guilds" brings up about 150 boards. That's more math than I can do, but I will safely say it's a grand increase in four years!
