Last week I made a little romper for Milly that turned out much too big. So I went back to the worktable and created a new pattern from the old. This one fits much better; however, I didn't adjust the armseye opening which is still too deep, but Milly seems quite happy.
I am over it, though. I have too many other things going on, especially this week. Our church is celebrating it's 90th Anniversary and we are planning several events to mark the occasion. One of those events is to create a directory with photographs of the parishioners.
I'm the gal in charge, so to speak, and this week LifeTouch
photographers are in house. I've scheduled people for three days of portraits. That's all well and good, until the day arrives. But no more complaining. Tomorrow is the last day of photographers.
Besides there's good news in the house: the kids have moved to their own (new) house and we have spent a night in our own home. The last night we slept in the camper, Cotton found Milly's stuffed monkey. It's quite old and beginning to shed and leave crumbles.
But apparently Cotton finds it just right for napping. Now that we're back in the house, Milly has access to most of her toys, so Cotton has gained a hand-me-down monkey. He's quite protective of it. Just getting a couple of pictures of him was a little difficult: I was not allowed to touch his new toy.

Sunday Quilt Inspiration: Fidget Spinner
You know those little toys that kids and parents were paying crazy money for during the summer? The ones that did nothing except spin. I still haven't figured out the interest, but I did see one on a quilt. Stay with me a minute and you'll see it, too.

May I assume that you get the idea? These silly toys now come in many colors and styles and shapes and sizes and so on. But if you look closely, you'll see that they are on quilts, too.

LSU Saturday Night
Our house is a true LSU house. Actually, I am quite okay to sew while a game is on, but others here cannot understand that attitude and occasionally I do have to sit in front of the TV. Today is the first game day for LSU, so it's the first game day on every TV in the house. Every. Television. Every. Did I say every TV? Marley has a TV in her room, so she decided that she would watch the game with her Barbies. All the Barbies decided to tailgate the game. That's the fun way to watch a football game. Of course, Barbie felt that the correct protocol would be to include the Disney princesses.
The princesses couldn't leave out the other dolls. And those dolls invited the rubber ducks. The rubber ducks couldn't come without the Littlest Pets and the princes' horse, which meant the princes had to be there. But the princes sat near the rubber ducks because there are so many princesses they couldn't give any one enough attention. And that's how we watch the game in our house. Who do you invite to your game day party?

Sunday Quilt Inspiration: Soft Toys
I've been taking advantage of Sunday Quilt Inspiration to show some of the quilts that I saw at IQS in Houston. So I thought that today I would get back on track and use some of the pins that I found this week.

These and other animal toys are on my "soft, toys" Pinterest board. The baby quilts below are on my "baby, quilts" board.

Pin It Weekly #145
With internet service out (and I do mean completely out) thanks to the weather and the modem, I haven't been able to do any pinning. I plan to fix that in the next couple of days but, since it's time for PIW, I'll just share something fun and catch up later.
