Tractors still a'runnin'

Last weekend's German Fest in Robert's Cove was great fun.  We rode down to Rayne with Adam's family and spent some time with Rory's.  It's just so much fun to watch the grands having a blast. This festival is big on family and has a large area called "kinderland" that is set up with games, a huge sandpit, a train ride, jumpers, and other kid-friendly activities.

The grown-ups sit on lawn chairs (bring your own) under the huge oak tree and let the kids run from one activity to the next--my kind of baby-sitting.  Throw in a dozen sugar cookies, a dark German beer, and a sausage on a bun, and we're not moving for hours.

Well, except that I had to go see the old tractors.  Every year the festival brings in vintage tractors and farm equipment.  Of course, we had to go check them out.  These are the pics that I took as we tromped through the muddy grass discussing the horsepower and equipment.

Hope you had a great weekend, too.  Come back tomorrow for Pin It Weekly.
