June Guild Meeting

Either I'm getting better at this guild president gig, or I just roll with whatever screw-up I happen to be in the middle of.

Regardless, I absolutely loved our meeting on Monday. I laughed almost the entire two hours!

Of course, we took care of business, both current and new. Then Mrs. Bertha gave an awesome presentation about how she recycles binders that are often in horrible shape. I want to use her method in a couple of days, so I'm thinking about writing a tutorial.

Then we had show and share. I am very bad about remembering some minor details. It turns out that last month I didn't ask everyone to show their row blocks for our quilt-along.

After those pretty blocks came out, Mrs. Josie explained how she figured out to get a photograph on fabric using a product called Bubble Jet Set 2000.

Then we shared quilts and quilt tops.

Then the real fun began. We "auctioned off" the monthly minis. Each person buys tickets and someone pulls coordinating numbers from the box. Whomever has the winning ticket gets to choose from the monthly minis on the table. There were 14 minis, so we pulled for a while!

We finally got to the door prize and adjourned, but not until I had a headache from the hilarious hijinx of my crazy guild sisters.
