I saw all of these houses, but I wasn't there for the photo session, so you get to see what he finds interesting and noteworthy. I have to say, he did a fine job of photographing.
In fact, I may have to relinquish the camera to him because these pictures are much, much better than the ones I generally take.
He hasn't told me why he chose these homes, so I assume that it's simply because he likes them or, as I would say, they speak to him.

Those big porches!!! To die for!
I love porches too. What beautiful homes.
Such gorgeous homes! I love the last one with the greenery! We live in an old, huge Victorian that was built in the late 1800's and we love it!!!
Ahh, those are all so gorgeous!!! I seriously love them.

I love Ruston. Got my first degree at Tech, met my husband there, worked at Ruston State Bank and the Dixie Theater (when it still operated as a theater)while he was finishing school. Lots of good memories!
Love the photos! Being from Louisiana (BR) I have always loved the older homes with verandas, and plantations.
I took a peek at your quilt photos -- Oh my, they are beautiful! I especially like Le Boites des Fleurs.
I wanted to also say thanks for stopping by my blog! Definitely read The Elm Creek Quilts novels -- excellent books!
The houses in Ruston are beautiful! Yes, I'd definitely like to visit there.
I checked out your quilt photos too and that bright pink one - Around a Girl's World - is my favorite!
